Underwater Imaging We represent Ocean Imaging Systems, a company based on Cape Cod, who took over the Benthos line of subsea cameras in 2002.
Since then, OIS have developed the Product Line to offer a high resolution Digital Stills capability, a variety of strobe systems, and a digital camera verison of the REMOTS sediment profiling camera. They welcome requests for either modified standard products or new ground-up system designs.
| ProductsDSC-6000 (Ocean Imaging Systems)The Ocean Imaging Systems DSC 6000 Digital Still Camera is the next step in underwater digital photography. Featuring a 6.1 million pixel sensor, a Nikon F mount lens, high pressure optical glass view port and various housing options, the DSC 6000 offers unparalleled image quality for ROV, towed and autonomous applications.

| | 3731D REMOTS Sediment Profiling Camera (Ocean Imaging Systems)A digital implementation of the REMOTS® sediment profile imaging (SPI) camera system, this now features a 10.2M pixel camera.
Differing from conventional undersea photo equipment, the SPI obtains a vertical cross-section of the sediment/water interface by imaging the sediment in profile. This provides in-situ imaging of organism-sediment relationships at the sea floor. Download Documentation |

| | 3883 Vehicle Strobe (Ocean Imaging Systems)The model 3883 Vehicle Strobe provides a self-contained rechargeable underwater strobe capability for use in either attended (ROV or tow sled) or autonomous (via external programmer or bottom-contact switch) still-imaging applications.
The strobe provides 100WS ash energy with recycle time as fast as 3 second, and has exposure quench circuitry which permits it’s use with the through-the-lens (TTL) exposure monitoring found on cameras using Nikon’s strobe sync.
