ROVs and AUVs MKS has a long tradition of supplying both class leading small inspection class ROV's, and more recently bespoke AUV systems for R&D applications.
MKS track record in ROV's is tied to that of Teledyne Benthos, who introduced the MiniRover, the first low cost ROV system, in 1983. This, along with the MiniRover Mk II, went on to become one of the best selling ROV systems of all time. Their latest model, the Stingray, continues this tradition offering as it does an affordable inspection class ROV platform with a work class attitude.
MKS has also supplied AUV systems and packages to a number of research and development programmes, and is currently promoting the highly innovative Falmouth Scientific SAUV vehicle.
MKS can also provide geophysical survey equipment, and Oceanographic sensors, in ROV and AUV configurations. Please check these systems out on the relevant pages.
| ProductsStingray (Teledyne Benthos)The Stingray is a revolutionary new design in ROV technology. Designed as a small inspection class ROV, the Stingray has the performance characteristics of significantly larger and more powerful ROV’s. The Stingray is a flexible and modular design, enabling the customer to easily and efficiently configure the system for a wide range of inspection and light work task operations.
The Stingray can be fitted with a range of video cameras, film or digital cameras, electronic flashes, NDT devices, navigation, and a range of manipulators. The modular design enables the customer to install a range of sensors and optional equipment. The expandability of the Stingray allows customers to undertake jobs with a small electric inspection class system that were previously possible only with larger, more expensive systems.
