AUV Consultancy
M.K. Services has been involved in providing independent advice on the selection of AUV systems, along with not so independent advice on the choice of sensor package.
Having, until recently, acted as the UK representative for Hydroid Inc, the breadth of knowledge in this field obviously remains. As we are no longer linked to a particular manufacturer, any advice given may now be considered as strictly independent, and we trust that the professionalism of our staff will be such that it will see be cogent and useful.
Oceanographic Consultancy
M.K. Services represents the US-based Woods Hole Group, who offer a variety of physical oceanographic services. These are based around the collection, analysis, and reporting of oceanographic data for engineering design and environmental assessment to governments and industries world-wide.
Their experienced oceanography staff, comprised of Ph.D. and M.S.-level scientists, together with field engineers, technicians, and computer data processing specialists, provide expertise in all phases of oceanographic studies, including the design of field sampling programs, planning and execution of field operations, statistical and analytical interpretation of the results, and preparation of reports. They have conducted numerous oceanographic programs, including studies of power plants and sewage treatment outfalls, studies of offshore sites for the oil industry, and research programs on the continental shelves.
Woods Hole Group specialises in observational program design, optimising the selection of ocean instrumentation and sampling strategy. In addition, Their ocean engineers can provide system engineering services that blend custom and standard instrumentation for real-time data acquisition and telemetry systems.
